Morning Hospitality Instructions
2011
- 2012
Hospitality:
Two families are assigned to hospitality each
Sunday. Laurie, from the church office, will provide the name and
phone number of the other family on Monday of the preceding
week. Please confer with each other during the week to divide up
tasks. These tasks involve set up, supplying food, and clean
up. Some families choose to divide the food by having one family
bring juice and cookies for the children’s table and the other family brings
snacks for the adult table.
Please remember this may be the first time one
family is helping with hospitality and may need extra
assistance. Instructions will be posted on the church web
site. You may contact Marcia Stokes at 978.392.4434 with any questions.
Plan on arriving at the Fellowship Hall by 10:00
a.m., to set up and start coffee perking before worship. Be
on hand to assist after service and then clean up when you are done.
Bring for the children:
· [Optional] pretzels
or other simple cracker and/or snack of your choice (Pepperidge Farm goldfish
is peanut free!)
Bring for the
adults:
·1 1/2 quarts of
whole milk or half-and-half
· [Optional] Snack of
your choice
*Note: Please
remember this is a snack offering and not a meal
ALL INSTRUCTIONS AND A DIAGRAM FOR HOSPITALITY CAN BE FOUND TAPED TO THE
CABINET TO YOUR RIGHT AS YOU ENTER THE KITCHEN. PLEASE BE SURE TO
PUT ITEMS BACK SO THE NEXT HOSPITALITY TEAM CAN DO THEIR JOB!
Thank you for providing this
important ministry!
BEFORE CHURCH SERVICE PLEASE:
1. TABLES
AND CHAIRS – please set up the room according to the diagram.
Tables and chairs can be found in the two closets to the right when entering
the fellowship hall. Place a trash container by the children’s table
and by the condiment table. Do NOT put the snacks out until after
the service is over.
2. HOW
TO MAKE COFFEE – put 55 cups of water into one of the large
coffeepots. Place the strainer inside and add 3 1/2 cups of EQUAL
EXCHANGE regular coffee. Put 40 cups of water in the other large
coffeepot and place the strainer inside. Add 2 1/3 cups of EQUAL
EXCHANGE decaf coffee into the strainer. Make sure the lids are on
snugly and plug one on each side of the service window. Make sure
the pots have been turned on and are perking before you leave! The
light on one pot will go on immediately and the light on the other pot turns on
after it has finished brewing! The Equal Exchange coffee is in the
labeled plastic containers. There are additional bags if needed
stored behind the plastic containers.
3. TEA –
the electric teapot can go into either plug in the service
window. It can also be turned on before church starts.
4.
CONDIMENTS –
sugar, cream, stirrers, napkins and tea bags should be placed on the table to
the right of the service window.

closet). Bags of trash should be placed in the dumpster outside.
2. KITCHEN –
should be left in 100% clean condition. Coffeepots washed and
returned to the cabinet. Counter tops wiped down. Used towels
should be taken home, laundered and returned the following week.
